Geaux Swim was started by two local families looking to bring a safe, fun, community-based swim program to Shreveport-Bossier.
Our guiding principle is to promote safety, education and conservation in a fun environment that fosters an experience that will last long after the swim lesson is over.
We are parents too, and understand how busy life is and continues to get:
- Prices are set up on a monthly basis and are run automatically
- We offer make up sessions
- Easy class transfers
- Worry Free Cancellation Policy
- Family discounts offered
- Multiple classes are held at the same time, so families with multiple children can attend swim lessons at the same time (or relatively close)
- Schedules and pricing are available to see without the additional steps of creating an account or calling for more information
- Able to book up to 4 weeks in advance

Kaleigh has a unique ability to speak softly to the children in her swim classes, while at the same time being very clear and direct. When children were hesitant with putting their face in the water and/or jumping into the pool, she matched their persistence with trusting validation. This helped the kids feel heard and understood, therefore able to trust her when unsure of the water. You could even catch her singing along to the music in the pool area with the kiddos (which helps distract the kids from their fear and focus on something common in this new environment)!

We are committed to provide high-quality swim lessons and promote water safety in our community! Geaux Swim is currently seeking enthusiastic teachers to join our team as Swim Instructors. While Geaux Swim is open year round, we are gearing up for a busy and exciting spring/summer season. 🏊♀️
Responsibilities:
💙 Conduct swim lessons for children divided by age groups, 4 kids max per class
💙 Instruct children on steps to proper swimming techniques and water safety
💙 Monitor and ensure the safety of all children during lessons
💙 Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help swimmers improve their skills
Qualifications:
💙 Strong communication and interpersonal skills
💙 Knowledge of basic swim instruction techniques and water safety
💙 Ability to creatively teach these swim techniques using references and language with the kids in your class (ie. floating on back is “starfish” while floating on belly with arms extended can be “superman”)
💙 Stable working hours to promote consistent teaching for families and schedule for instructors, including weekends
💙 Previous experience as a swim instructor required for advanced classes (ie. Adults and stoke classes)
💙 Previous experience is not necessary, however an enthusiasm to learn and teach kids is a must
